Pet Beds For Dogs And Cats! Their Safe Haven!

Luxury Pet Beds provide your Dog Or Cat with a spot in your home they can call their own.

Designer pet beds are an excellent choice for creating a private niche for your dog or cat. Make them feel special by giving them their very own pet bed to curl up in for a nap.

Show You Care

Dog and cat beds are an excellent item to have in your home. They come in all sizes and give your pet a place they can curl up out of the way of the daily routine you and your family may go through everyday.

You can find your dog or cat a luxury bed, designer style pet bed, heated or cooled, or just a simple plain one to throw in a corner of the room. Either way you go, your dog or cat will love their own little spot. Pet beds are the next best thing to them having their own crate, only cushier. Also the latest and greatest for your pet is a cat or small dog hammock. They can be freestanding or mounted on a wall. They will contour to your pets' shape and relieve pain from pressure points on their little bodies, especially as they age. A cat hammock can be suspended from a windowsill so your kitty can not only enjoy a nap up out of the way, but survey his or her outside world.

Also, this is a great way to establish from day one where they sleep so as not to select the furniture, perhaps your favorite chair, or your own bed. If this is allowed, in some cases, your pet may dominate the roost and be quite unwilling to share a spot with you on your own bed. Or the next best thing, they tend to interrupt some snuggle time with your loved one. Now it becomes a contest of wills. Let's face it folks, especially those with larger dogs, there just isn't enough room for all three of you in the bed at once. Best to prevent this by having a bed ready for them upon their arrival and teaching them "this is their spot". Make the floor a comfort zone and they should come to prefer it quite nicely.

For cat owners, sharing your bed is another issue altogether. For peace and sanity, some cats do better residing outside the bedroom or you may be subjected to the Kitty Alarm Clock! Let us give you an example: Be sure to pause music player up on left of screen.

The Quiet Routine

Not only do dogs love to have their own bed, but it will also provide you an area of the home you can send them to if he or she should get under foot. You can transition from crate training to a bed once your pet understands the command you wish to use to send them to their private spot by showing them through direction what you expect of them.

This will give your pet stability by removing them from what might be a chaotic situation, whereby, you won't be yelling at your friend to get out of your way. Give them a chew toy to have with them on their bed. This will instill good doggy behavior.

The Kitty Kastle

There are some great cat beds that not only provide cushy comfort, but some are designed with the bed built into a Kitty cubby. With this design, your cat can run and hide to feel secure or play hide and seek, then pouncing on the unsuspecting feet as they stroll by. The cave like enclosure gives a cat something new to explore. Their own special room they will finally turn into their favorite spot where they can feel special, enjoying their favorite past time!

If space will allow, try to elevate your cats' bed up off the floor somewhere out of the way of any mishaps. Your cat will prefer it more if they can be up higher than the local foot traffic. A window seat works well or even up on the back of your sofa. Just so long as it becomes their own safe haven.

If you think cats prefer to sleep where ever, you may be surprised to learn by not providing a kitty bed for Fluffy, you may soon see Fido, the family dog, exiled to staring longingly at their own bed as fluffy proceeds to take over residence.

Keep It Clean, Folks

Dogs and cats bring in debris or airborne allergens inside, hitching a ride on their coats. So make sure you get a bed for ease of cleaning, the kind you can remove the cover from and throw into the wash. Built up levels of pollen can increase the probability of your dog or cat getting allergies. If luxury or designer dog and cat beds are what you prefer, then get a good anti-allergen fabric steam cleaner for cleaning the bed if it does not come with a removable cover. The Little Green Machine is an excellent choice.

Along with a weekly washing of the bed during heavy pollen season, make sure you keep your pooch perky and your cat fastidious by keeping their coat free from these nasty pollens as well. This will also help to keep animal dander from accumulating on their bed. Practicing good grooming habits will reduce the airborne allergens in your home, keeping you from suffering as well.

Use It Or Lose It

Remember, when bringing a puppy into your home and giving him or her their own bed, if you have not taught proper crate training etiquette, your pup may decide to turn his pet bed into a giant chew toy. Make sure when introducing the bed to your best friend, to let them know when in use, the bed is for snoozing, not for chewing, so remember to keep the almighty chew toy handy.

Rule of thumb: If you find chewing on the bed to be cute and your pup will outgrow it, think again. Many people make this sad mistake. Your pup will think yanking the stuffing out of his or her favorite bed to be great fun and transition to the cushions on your couch. Guaranteed!

Dogs and Puppies don't understand the difference between chair stuffing and bed stuffing. It's all soft to them. So make sure you practice puppy training from the beginning by observing your dog and letting them know, chewing on their designer pet bed is not allowed.
